Yesterday at the grocery store, I heard a loud crash and the sound of glass breaking. Curious and concerned, I went to see what had happened. At the end of an aisle, I saw an older lady who had accidentally knocked into a shelf. Items had fallen and shattered everywhere. She was kneeling on the floor, embarrassed, trying to clean it up while people just stood around and stared.
My heart hurt for her. So, I walked over, knelt beside her, and said, “Don’t worry, let me help.” Together we began picking up the pieces. Soon, the store manager arrived. He gently knelt down too and told us, “Please leave this—we’ll take care of it.” Still embarrassed, the lady said, “But I need to pay for everything I broke.” The manager smiled kindly and replied, “No Ma’am, you don’t have to pay for any of this. We have insurance.”
That moment touched me deeply. And if you’re reading this, I want you to imagine something…
God does the same thing for us. When life breaks us down and we’re left holding the shattered pieces of our mistakes, He comes alongside us. He doesn’t stand back and stare—He kneels down with love. The cost of our sins has already been paid by the precious blood of Christ. Through His grace, He lifts us up, cleans the mess, and begins to heal our hearts.
That’s what His grace is—it’s our divine insurance. We don’t have to pay for what’s already been covered.
