Weezer bassist Scott Shriner’s wife clings to musician in first outing since attempted murder arrest

Scott Shriner’s wife clung to her husband as she broke her cover after being arrested for attempted murder.

Jillian Shriner, 51, held onto the Weezer bassist while emerging from their home in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, on Wednesday afternoon.

The outing marked the first time she’s been seen in public since she was shot in the shoulder by cops and booked for attempted murder after firing at officers two weeks ago.

Jillian’s injury was not visible in the photos obtained by The Post; however, she was grabbing her famous husband’s wrist while walking, so it’s a possibility she was using him for support.

The pair — who married in 2005 — appeared to be going on a trip. Jillian wore an oversize gray sweatshirt and baggy black pants as they packed up their vehicle.

She was also seen holding a red leather bag over her left shoulder, and Scott, dressed in cargo pants and a navy T-shirt, loaded luggage into their car.

The “Say It Ain’t So” band member’s wife was arrested on April 8 after interfering in the Los Angeles Police Department’s search for three misdemeanor hit-and-run suspects who fled a freeway crash scene and ran into a residential neighborhood, per the press release.

As officers looked for the suspects, they observed a female — later identified as Jillian — with a handgun outside her residence.

She allegedly refused to drop the gun despite police instructing her to do so “numerous times.” When Jillian pointed the firearm at officers, they opened fire, per the press release.

Police disclosed they found a 9mm handgun in her home after the arrest.

Scott’s wife was reportedly hit in the shoulder, according to TMZ; however, police only confirmed she was struck by gunfire and retreated back into her residence.

Jillian later emerged with another woman, who was identified as the babysitter. The rocker’s wife was taken to a local hospital and treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Police also disclosed that they recovered a 9 mm handgun from her home.

A neighbor later defended Jillian against the charges, claiming she couldn’t see police when they shot her.

According to the witness, who didn’t want to be named, they watched a stranger in a “wife beater” jump a fence into the musician’s yard.

“It’s not like she didn’t have any reason to have a gun. The guy was there,” said the neighbor, who told The Post, “none of us knew anything. She’s home with her two kids.”

They claimed that Jillian “basically admonished him and said, ‘They’re gonna catch you,’” later adding that before any of them knew it, several cops were approaching the yard and bullets were flying.

“I hear about six gunshots in quick succession,” the neighbor shared. “It went ba-da-da-da-da … There was just them firing upon her.”

One day after his wife’s arrest, Scott weirdly promoted Weezer’s Coachella appearance, telling The Post exclusively, “She’s alright, thank you for asking. See you at Coachella!”

He joined his bandmates in the Mojave Tent on April 12 during Weekend 1 of the music festival.

Jillian is the author of two best-selling memoirs: 2010’s “Some Girls: My Life in a Harem” and 2015’s “Everything You Ever Wanted.” She and Scott have two adopted sons.

Jillian has yet to comment on the incident.
