These reports that Juan Soto wanted to be a Yankee are no more than guesses, but Soto admitted a week ago to The Post he’s still “adjusting” to the dynamics of his new team (though he maintained he didn’t regret his Mets call).
When he restarts the Soto Shuffle, that’s when you’ll know he’s really comfortable.
Remember, all these greats started slow with a new team in New York: Jason Giambi, Alex Rodriguez, Carlos Beltrán and Francisco Lindor? And none of them had a $765 million contract.
No disrespect intended (maybe), but a Yankees person opined they’re “definitely” better off, referring to the terrific pivot.
