I just can't rap my head around TLC's decision to continue airing 1000lb Sisters.
Amy Slaton was arrested (along with some loser dude) at a zoo in Tennessee on Sept 2, 2024 and charged with illegal possession of schedule I & schedule IV drugs, as well as 2 counts of child endangerment. Guilt / innocence aside, why was she not canceled by TLC?
I ask this question because TLC canceled Here Comes Honey Boo Boo because of media accusations that Mama June knowingly allowed a convicted sexual predator to be around her minor child /children. If I'm not mistaken, that accusation was disproved at some point, but I can't swear to that. There were no criminal charges involved in that incident, and yet, because of the accusation, the show was canceled.
There are, however, criminal charges involved in Amy's case, 2 of which concern the endangerment of her innocent babies.
As much as I love some good trash tv, I have absolutely no problem with networks canceling trash people who do not prioritize the safety of their children.
Make it make sense, please!
