Last night my son and I were waiting on our food in the drive through line and we heard a kitten meowing. We got our food and parked in the parking lot close to where we thought we heard it, rolled all our windows down, and ate our food. We heard it again so we got out and walked all around the parking lot and couldn’t see it anywhere. It was starting to thunder and lighting and it was getting cold and I prayed that I would find it within the next 10 minutes because we had to leave. My son was on his hands and knees looking in the storm drain and then he looked up and saw it stuck in the front grill of this SUV! It was alive and seemed okay but it was definitely stuck and it was terrified! We ran in to the restaurant to try to find the owner is the vehicle and it was an employee. Two teenage boys who worked there came out and spent close to an hour trying to pry the grill thing off and were finally able to get this sweet baby out. They were both crying and covered in mud from head to toe and they handed this sweet baby to me and asked if I wanted to take it home. I started crying and nodded my head. We had to put our 9 year old cat to sleep almost 2 years ago due to kidney failure and I swore I would never have another cat. My almost 3 year old daughter has been begging for a cat and I kept saying no because I was so heartbroken over losing our first cat. So she said, ”It’s okay. I pray and pray and God will give me a cat.”
Well he did. She’s at her dads this weekend but I can’t wait to surprise her when she gets home.
