“In early November, an email was sent out to the student body stating that a family in Sullivan needed help moving and students could earn service hours or be paid by the family.
Within 30 minutes, senior football player Kyle Corkill replied, stating that he had eight football players who wanted to take care of it and that no payment or service hours were necessary. After they helped the family move that Saturday morning, the family tried to pay the players for their time, but the players refused the money. After the family continued to insist that the players take the money, they did, but they did not keep it. Instead, they took it to their coach so he could put it in the football fund.
When asked about it, senior Aiden Ballinger said they wanted to “set the bar for the younger guys on how we can thank the community and give back.” We are very proud of these young men who are truly showing what it means to be one tribe!”
