I just walked into Aldi in Moberly to grab some essentials when an older gentleman approached me. He had a warm smile and wore a U.S. Marine Corps hat that said ‘United We Stand.’
He held a stack of 100 dollar bills and gave one to everyone entering the store, saying he wanted to pay for our groceries today. When I declined, he shared that he’s a retired Marine with no one to care for except himself. He mentioned that Americans are struggling, and this is his way of helping.
The ladies at the checkout said he had been there all morning. This is what America is all about, you guys. There are truly angels among us. I’m feeling speechless right now. I’m heading out to pay this kindness forward. ❤️🇺🇸
