Eve admits she was ‘nervous’ to become a stepmom: ‘Where do I fit?’

Eve is a rapper, songwriter, author and Grammy winner — but her most important job is mom.

While she welcomed her first child with husband Maximillion Cooper in 2022, the international superstar, 46, had plenty of experience beforehand. She became a stepmom to Cooper’s four children almost a decade before giving birth to son Wilde Wolf, 3, when the two tied the knot in 2014.

“It’s been incredible. I’ve been in their lives now for 15 years,” Eve shared with The Post about her stepchildren: Lotus, 23, Jagger, 20, Cash, 19, and Mini, 17. “I’ve known them all since they were tiny, and it really is a beautiful thing.”

The “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” lyricist admitted she had some early reservations about blending into their already existing family.

“In the first few years, I was definitely nervous and figuring out, ‘Where do I fit in?’ Because their mom is in their life,” Eve explained, noting she wanted to make sure the kids felt her love and support.

“I kind of always wanted to make myself just that person, that extra person that they could come to and know that there’s no judgment. Their voice will be heard, their feelings will be validated,” the singer shared.

“I just wanted them to know, and still to this day, that I’m always here, like, whatever you want to talk about, whatever you need. If you need a little extra bit of support,” she continued.

Eve said her bond with her stepchildren has only gotten stronger through the years, noting they are all living their own lives but still come together as a family.

“Now that they are older, they’ll fly out to come see me when I perform,” she told The Post. “It’s just really, really nice. I got some really cool bonus kids and, yeah, I love them so much.”

The “Let There Be Eve…Ruff Ryders’ First Lady” hitmaker is currently on the last leg of the “Where The Party At Tour” with fellow headliners Nelly and Ja Rule. She’s also promoting Apple TV+’s newest singing competition show, “KPOPPED,” and gearing up to go to Australia for Fridayz Live concert series with Mariah Carey, Lil Jon, Pitbull, and more in October.

Eve told The Post that she’s hoping to make the trip Down Under a family affair.

“We’re going to try to make it a family trip with even the big kids. Because they’ve never been,” she shared. “We’re trying to make it this full-on family vacation.”

The “Who’s That Girl?” rapper has collaborated with the biggest stars on the planet, including but not limited to: Dr. Dre, Alicia Keys, Missy Elliot, Gwen Stefani, Sean Paul, and more, but it’s her children who keep her grounded.

“I call it momming. I love momming,” she revealed to The Post.

Eve is perfectly happy with the way her life has worked out, especially when it comes to raising her toddler.

“I’ve been able to have this full on life before he [Wilde] came into my life, so I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything,” she said. “I love and enjoy work, which is why I still work. But I can now pick and choose and make sure that the timing doesn’t take me away from him. And that’s really important.”

Eve revealed that spending time with her son brings her the most joy.

“My favorite thing is to just hang out with him and be with him,” the star added. “It makes me, I don’t even know, beyond happy.”

But she’s still hustling.

The uber-famous singers get teamed up with South Korean idols to perform remixed versions of their hit songs in front of a live studio audience in Seoul. The crowd then votes which artist wins the competition.

Eve performed with half of the Japanese boy band JO1 against pop star Kesha and the remaining members of the group.

Boy George, Patti LaBelle, Kylie Minogue, Boyz II Men, and Spice Girls: Mel B and Emma Bunton are several of the other Western artists who star in Season 1 of the show.

“KPOPPED”  is now available to stream on Apple TV+.
