Dear Spectrum Internet,

Today your worker, Robert, came to our house to upgrade our internet and help us start streaming TV. When he arrived, things were a bit crazy. My son, Sailor, is three years old. He was born with two rare brain problems and he is blind. He can’t talk or tell us what he needs, and today was really hard for him. He had been crying all morning.

I was trying to calm him down, take care of my two-year-old daughter, do the dishes, clean the house, and do laundry—all while my husband worked. I felt overwhelmed and tired.

As soon as Robert walked in and started talking, Sailor ran to him and held up his arms. Robert didn’t mind at all. He picked up Sailor and held him on and off the whole 45 minutes he was here. He kept him close and calm while I folded laundry. It meant so much to me and helped more than he’ll ever know.

Robert could have come in, done his job quickly, and left. But instead, he saw that I needed help—and he helped in the best way. That’s more than good customer service. That’s being a good human. Robert deserves a raise, a promotion—something special. He is a treasure to your company, and I will always remember his kindness.

Sincerely,
Jessica
