Beautiful girl Dandi was adopted last week by an amazing woman.
Once she was in her new home, her mom noticed Dandi was a little too focused on the family cats. Like hyper focused, and not in a “Hey, let’s play” kind of way. Out of an abundance of caution and with a broken heart, Dandi’s mom very tearfully returned her.
Terrible news for everyone, except the other woman who applied for her. She was sad for the first adopter, but excited for the opportunity to take beautiful Dandi home. She has no other pets, so no worries there.
Before you ask why we didn’t cat test the first adopter, we did. We always do, but in a “is the dog interested/focused/hyper focused on the cats in cages kind of way” and not in a “we are putting this cat on the line of fire kind of way.” Sometimes dogs behave differently when they get home.
The adopter did the right thing by bringing Dandi back, even though it was hard. We would be devastated to hear that any animal unintentionally got hurt.
But I digress. Second time’s a charm for our gorgeous girl. Her mom drove hours to get here. Lucky lady.
Guys, DANDI WAS ADOPTED TODAY!!!! ššššš
