Battle Camp Season 1: Irina Solomonova’s Age, Reality TV Career, Job, Instagram, & More

Netflix’s new competition show Battle Camp has revealed its contestants, and among them is Irina Solomonova; here’s everything we know about her. While reality TV competitions are nothing new, Battle Camp sets itself apart in more ways than one. The series follows 18 contestants as they face intense physical and mental challenges on the campgrounds. But there’s a twist: a “wheel of fortune” randomly decides who gets eliminated. With the premiere just around the corner, Netflix has a trailer and a cast list—featuring stars from shows like Too Hot To Handle, Perfect Match, and more.

One of the most recognizable contestants in Battle Camp is Love Is Blind alum Irina. While her journey on the dating show didn’t end in love, she’s ready to return to the spotlight and compete for the Battle Camp title and the grand prize of $250,000. With a reputation for creating drama and a high-stakes, cutthroat environment, will Irina’s “mean girl” shine once again?

Irina Solomonova’s Age

She Is 28 Years Old

Irina was born on November 21, 1996, making her 28 years old as of the premiere of Battle Camp Season 1, which will air on April 23. Her zodiac sign is Scorpio, and while they are known for admirable traits like being passionate and magnetic, they have their downsides. Scorpios also have a reputation for being strategic, secretive, and villainous. According to Cosmopolitan, they are “traditionally painted as the villain of the zodiac.” A label that rang true for Irina during Love Is Blind season 4, where she quickly became the center of drama and earned herself a villain edit.

Most notably, during her season, she appeared to have no issue flirting with her best friend’s fiancé, ultimately betraying her trust. With the reputation she earned on Love Is Blind, it’s likely viewers will be left wondering whether her streak of drama and breaching of trust will follow her into Battle Camp. However, Irina told Netflix’s Tudum that after taking time away from the spotlight for two years, she’s ready to rebrand herself in a more positive light. She said, “I’m bringing a good attitude, snacks, and lots of effort to the game.”

Irina Solomonova Was On Love Is Blind

She Was Briefly Engaged

Irina’s journey on Love Is Blind was short-lived but memorable, though not in the way anyone would have hoped. Her only connection was with Love Is Blind‘s Zack Goytowski, which initially seemed promising, with comfortable and vulnerable conversations. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse. Irina distanced herself from the other women, except for Micah Lussier. The two were often gossiping about other women, eavesdropping on private conversations, and lying to Zack about his other connection, Bliss Poureetezadi.

Irina described Zack’s appearance as resembling a “cartoon character,” and called his intense gaze “creepy” at times.

Zack and Irina got engaged, but the beginning of their engagement foreshadowed the disaster it would become. Irina described Zack’s appearance as a “cartoon character” and called his intense gaze “creepy.” In Mexico, Zack tried to be affectionate, but Irina set clear boundaries, saying she wasn’t ready for that part of their relationship. Things took a turn when they met the other engaged couples, and she was attracted to Micah’s fiancé, Paul Peden. Irina admitted to being attracted to Paul and flirted with him in front of Zack and Micah; she was then confronted by Micah.

Irina’s disinterest in Zack became apparent, and in an attempt to save their engagement, he tried to confront her. However, Irina pushed him away rather than communicate her true feelings. Eventually, Zack and Irina decided to call it quits. Strangely, it was only after their breakup that the two seemed genuinely comfortable with each other. However, at the Love Is Blind reunion, Zack accused Irina of joining the show for clout and revealed she was more hurtful than what was shown on screen. Irina apologized for her behavior, blaming her mental health for her lash out.

Irina Solomonova’s Job

Irina Runs Her Own Business

Before her appearances on Battle Camp and Love Is Blind, Irina started her own business, Solo Collective, as an Event Planner. True to her Scorpio qualities—passionate, independent, and persistent—it is easy to see how she has used these traits to create perfectly planned events for her clients. On her company's Instagram (@solo___co), viewers can see that her services extend beyond weddings, also covering proposals, graduation events, holidays, and more.

Unfortunately, Irina's business took a hit, as did her character, after appearing on Love Is Blind. Her "mean-girl" behavior continued even after she got engaged as she and Micah gossiped about the other women and flirted with Paul in front of Zack. One Redditor (@maryypsb) shared their thoughts on the company's Instagram, saying, "Irina’s business caption says 'come sit with us' but her personality is literally 'you cant sit with us.'" Despite the setbacks, Irina and Solo Collective's Instagram accounts have grown in engagement and show no signs of slowing down.
