Baby Millie Longhenry was born with alobar holoprosencephaly (HPE), a rare brain disorder that affects one in 10,000 live births. Doctors told her parents, Bill and Meg, that she had no hope of survival. They sent her home on hospice care with four to six months to live.

Her parents refused to accept this and found Dr. Brandon Crawford, who believed in Millie’s potential. Through specialized treatments including laser therapy and sound wave therapy, Millie began defying all expectations. She’s now vocalizing, using sign language, and even working toward crawling—achievements considered impossible for her condition.

In March, when the family couldn’t afford to continue Millie’s treatments, an anonymous donor stepped forward. This former patient of Dr. Crawford’s covered the family’s entire medical balance of more than $47,000, allowing Millie’s life-changing care to continue.
