Most mornings on my way to work I drive past a coffee van. One morning not too long ago I noticed the vendor resting on the counter while three patient magpies looked up at him. I supposed he was feeding them and that they were regulars.
It was such a lovely sight that the next day I pulled over and took a photo.
I painted the photo and framed it.
Last week I gave the painting to the coffee van man. He was genuinely thrilled.
It felt so good to do something kind.
I even got a free coffee!
