I was having one of the toughest travel days — my partner and I got separated in Chicago because of the weather. It was just me and my 8-month-old on his second flight ever. He was doing great until he decided he had to visit the lady sitting by the window.
After a quick introduction and a few wiggles, she smiled, opened her arms, and said, “Oh, just give him to me!” Exhausted, I handed him over. Not even a minute later, he laid his little head on her chest and fell fast asleep. She laughed softly and said, “Power of the boobies.” 😂
Then, with the kindest smile, she told me, “If you’d like to rest, I can hold him while he sleeps.” After a long day of cancellations and layovers, I gratefully accepted.
That stranger’s kindness turned one of my worst travel days into something beautiful. A simple reminder — there’s still so much good in this world. ❤️
