Scientists from King’s College London, UK, have successfully grown a tooth under laboratory conditions. The research team introduced a special material that enables cells to communicate with each other, mimicking the natural environment of growing teeth.

This allows one cell to tell another to become a tooth cell, recreating the process of tooth development in the lab.

Unlike implants that require invasive surgery, lab-grown teeth would naturally integrate into the jaw. They would be stronger, longer-lasting, and free from rejection risks, offering a more biologically compatible solution than current dental options.
