Today, on my way to fetch my kids from school, the “low oil” light came on and the car started losing power. I stopped at the nearest garage (Total Garage in Ramsgate) to have the oil replaced. But afterward, the car wouldn’t move—the gears just wouldn’t catch.
I explained to the attendants that we were new to the area and I had no one to help me fetch my kids, and I needed to get them right away. That’s when an amazing petrol attendant named Clement stepped in. Without hesitation, he asked if I could drive a manual car.
Before I knew it, he parked his own car next to mine, left the keys in the ignition, and went back to work as if nothing had happened. Thanks to him, I was able to fetch my kids on time.
What amazed me most was his trust—he didn’t even know my name or driving skills, yet he handed me the keys to his prized possession. When I returned, he even let me drop the kids off at home before my husband came back with our car. Clement also arranged a tow truck and someone to repair the vehicle.
He was truly my knight in shining armor that day. I pray God blesses him beyond measure for his kindness and generosity.
