'Selfish' Justin Bieber says he fears being 'exposed' in alarming post as health concerns skyrocket

What do you mean?

Justin Bieber has once again worried his fans after taking to social media to share a series of cryptic posts about how he is a “selfish” person who has “hurt others unintentionally.”

“I’m just an average flawed guy, I’ve done things that have hurt others,” Bieber, 31, wrote on Instagram Friday. “I continue to do and say things that hurt others unintentionally. Yet I woke up this morning with another opportunity to grow and not be so selfish today.”

“Love draws us in. Love doesn’t condemn. Love believes the best. Love hopes all things and endures all things,” the “Love Yourself” singer continued. “It doesn’t keep record of wrong. Love helps u to forgive and love even your enemies.”

Bieber shared another post shortly after about being “exposed” for his selfishness.

“I sometimes think I’m gonna get exposed if I tell people how selfish I am,” the Grammy winner told his followers in a second post. “Like if I admitted that, maybe people wouldn’t like me or trust me.”

“I thought if I was honest about the selfish things I was feeling that I was gonna be disqualified from the dreams I had of being included,” the pop icon added. “But the more honest I am about where I really am, the more freedom I actually have.”

The “What Do You Mean” singer’s third Instagram message on Friday further detailed his thoughts about “bad feelings” and “being used.”

“The truth is I wake up every morning. Some days I’m optimistic. Sometimes I wake up pessimistic. I can’t control how I’m gonna feel,” the Canadian-born artist wrote alongside a picture of a bird.

“I would find myself even subconsciously blaming god for the bad feeling I woke up with rather than communicate with him and ask him to help me have a change of perspective,” he continued. “I’ve been really asking god to help me see the best in people. Even after being used in the way I have.”

“Once again it’s easier to point the finger than it is to take ownership. It’s easy to say, ‘Damn their greedy,’ rather than to check the greed in our own hearts,” Bieber said. “Only god can remove the greed and selfishness from our hearts.”

“Trying harder won’t work,” he concluded. “Cuz I tried lol.”

Bieber’s latest contemplations come after his wife, Hailey Bieber, 28, attended the 2025 Met Gala alone on Monday night in New York City. The couple has an 8-month-old baby son, Jack Blues, whom they welcomed back in August.

The musings also come weeks after the “Peaches” hitmaker first fueled health concerns with another series of cryptic Instagram posts about being “high” and “always feeling unworthy.”

In March, Bieber took to the platform to say he felt like he was “drowning.”

“I was always told when I was a kid not to hate,” he wrote at the time. “But it made me feel like I wasn’t allowed to have it and so I didn’t tell anyone I’ve had it.”

“Which made me feel like I have been drowning,” Bieber added, “feeling unsafe to acknowledge it.”
