I need help gathering ideas/realistic expectations for a baby blanket Iβm making a friend. Hey everyone! A favorite coworker of mine is having a baby beginning of next year. I want to make her a blanket, and would like some help gathering patterns/ideas. I am also newer to crocheting, so I donβt know realistic expectations to have or if I can make designs using chunky yarn.
She said she would like it to be mainly blue due to the baby being a boy. She also has a connection to owls, so I would love to incorporate them into it. She also requested it be a good size for her to use with him rather than a small blanket for something like swaddling.
My problem is that Iβve never made a blanket (Iβm nervous haha), so I want something not too complicated but worthy of being the main blanket sheβll be using. I also want to use a chunky yarn to help it not take so long to make, but not sure if I can create the look I have in mind with it. I attached some photos for reference of what I think would be cute.
The dinosaur/cow in the last two photos would be replaced with an owl. If youβve made it this far thank you!!! <3
