To be honest, I’ve seriously considered this lifestyle myself on more than one occasion.
I’m single, I don’t have children, and I travel often. Just this year alone, I’ve been to Chicago 17 times as I begin transitioning there, along with trips to Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Ohio, and beyond.
The truth is, everyone has to find what works best for their life. Living out of a vehicle isn’t always a sign of struggle—it can also be a conscious, empowering choice. Without rent or a mortgage, a person can join a gym to access showers, travel freely, and even build an income as a content creator or social media influencer.
It’s worth considering that many of the people passing judgment may not own a home themselves. The world is evolving, and so are the ways people choose to live. Alternative lifestyles like this one are becoming increasingly common—not necessarily out of desperation, but out of a desire for flexibility and freedom.
Instead of making assumptions, we should keep an open mind. You never know—someone living this way might be more financially secure than you think. 💓
