While waiting in line at the grocery store, everyone was keeping the 6ft distance. Suddenly, a man accidentally cut in line. The person he skipped didn’t complain—just kept quiet and gave him space.
When it was his turn to pay, the man reached into his pocket and realized he had forgotten his wallet. He looked embarrassed and disappointed. His groceries were simple—just milk and a pack of chocolate chip cookies.
Without hesitation, the person he had skipped stepped forward and told the cashier, “I’ll cover it.” The man was surprised and so grateful.
As the kind person reached the register, the cashier asked, “He cut in front of you, and you still paid for his groceries. Why?”
With a gentle smile they replied, “Because if my dad ever forgot his wallet, I’d hope someone would do the same for him.”
In a world filled with negativity, moments like this remind us that kindness still exists. A little compassion goes a long way—why not pay it forward?
