“We started our foster licensing process in hopes of adopting a daughter. We were unable to have children naturally and decided to adopt through CPS and give a child a chance at life. Before our license was final we said we would be open to 2 children if there happened to be a sibling group. On August 17, 2015 we received a text for an emergency placement of 2 sisters, 22 months and 10 months old and we just knew this was the one for us. As soon we met the next day, we fell in love. The sisters hadn’t lived together except for the couple of months before they were placed with us so they were still getting acquainted.
In October, we found out the biological mother was pregnant again and we agreed to take placement of the baby when she was born. On December 11, 2015 we brought her home from the hospital, and she fit so seamlessly in this new family we had started. After a long year of legalities, Lesly, Samantha and Ginny became ours forever. When Lesly and Samantha arrived to our home, Lesly had a few trash bags of miscellaneous clothes that didn’t fit and one pair of sandals. Sammy had the onsie she was wearing and a pair of infant tennis shoes she had long outgrown. Our agency worker brought them both Sweet Cases from TWR and I was blown away at the idea! Kids deserve to carry their belongings in real luggage and not in plastic meant for trash. Thank you for everything you do! I can’t wait to gather our family and friends and let the girls decorate cases to pass on to other children.”
