This Shocking Love Island USA Split Will Break Fans’ Hearts After Speculation

A Love Island USA love story came to an end over the weekend following allegations of infidelity. Love Island USA season 7 recently concluded, and winners Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales are still riding the waves of victory, but interest remains high in cast members from Love Island USA season 6, who skyrocketed the show to major popularity after their blockbuster season.

After they unfollowed each other, JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez’s relationship status has finally been confirmed.

Three couples from Love Island USA season 6 have remained together since their time in the villa ended last year, but now, one of those couples has announced their shocking split. JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez, who placed third, have broken up, according to TMZ. The outlet reported that JaNa and Kenny broke up over the weekend, with JaNa being the one to end the relationship.

In true modern fashion, the split was seemingly confirmed due to the fact that JaNa’s Love Island besties, Leah Kateb and Serena Page, as well as their significant others, unfollowed Kenny on social media.

What JaNa & Kenny’s Split Means After Love Island USA

Not All Love Island Romances Last Forever

While the nation is still recovering from Love Island USA season 7, the Love Island USA season 6 crew has managed to remain in the spotlight as well, especially since their spin-off show Love Island: Beyond The Villa recently premiered on Peacock. JaNa and Kenny are currently appearing in Love Island: Beyond The Villa season 1.

It was unusual that so many couples from season 6 managed to stay together, especially because, of the three couples, the women—Leah, Serena, and JaNa—formed a tight bond as their season aired. They became so close that they were known as the PPG, short for the Powerpuff Girls, their designated nickname.

Now that Kenny and JaNa have split, Serena and Leah are standing by their friend and choosing sides–as are their partners, Miguel Harichi, who came in second with Leah, and Kordell Beckham, who won the season with Serena; both Kordell and Miguel have also unfollowed Kenny in a public show of solidarity.

Our Take On JaNa & Kenny’s Split

Kenny & JaNa Weren’t Built To Last

While falling in love on a reality show isn’t that out of the ordinary in today’s day and age, staying together after that show airs is out of the ordinary. There are already rumors running rampant that some of the couples who appeared in Love Island USA season 7 have already split, mere weeks after leaving the villa.

Staying together an entire year after their season ended was no easy feat, but still, all good things must come to an end, and it seems that for JaNa and Kenny, their time has come.

The Love Island USA season 7 reunion will be released Monday, August 25 at 9 p.m. EDT on Peacock.
