💛 This is more than just a chin wipe—it’s pure compassion in action.
Each fall, a week before their first football game, Iowa State hosts Victory Day. It’s a special day where kids with special needs get to step into the players’ world—trying on helmets, running out of the tunnel, and even scoring touchdowns.
But here’s the beautiful part: as much as these kids love it, the athletes might love it even more. This picture is proof.
Mandy Cosper shared it with me. She wrote:
“At ISU Victory Day, I was about to take a picture of my son, Colt, with football player Funto Akinshilo. Colt has a neurological disorder that causes him to drool a lot. Just before the picture, Funto noticed and gently wiped Colt’s chin. It was one of the sweetest moments I’ve ever seen.”
Sometimes kindness is shown in the smallest gestures—and it means everything. ❤️
