Ok, I can see how this may seem controversial since it happens to focus on Garrison. I'm not trying to focus on him. I'm curious as to everyone's thoughts on this situation in general.
Don't the kids parent each other all the time?
Why are they comforting Sol when he struck out at someone?
Isn't it good to correct a child immediately when they do something that's inappropriate?
If it had been any of the other kids to correct Sol would Kody have reacted the same way?
I am watching this all for the first time so I'm trying to understand this particular dynamic or situation. I feel like the older kids parent the younger kids all the time. So, why when a younger kid is parented correctly is it not ok?
To be fair, at least Garrison didn't get in any serious trouble for this situation and the adults seemed to chuckle it all off, but it just seemed odd they would tell him not to do it in the first place. He's (and all the older kids) have literally grown up doing that.
