NEW: Last night’s U.S. operation has been given the name “Midnight Hammer”. Over 125 aircraft have been used in the operation, including seven B-2s.
The United States used 14 GBU-57s during this mission as well as dozens of Tomahawk missiles, targeting nuclear sites inside Iran from submarines located within CENTCOM’s area of responsibility.
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth stated that the Iranian nuclear program has been completely destroyed, calling this the largest B-2 mission in U.S. history and the second-longest active mission ever, spanning over 37 hours, surpassed only by missions conducted shortly after 9/11.
