Michael Curmi, who lives in Roseville, MI, was riding his scooter near the local high school when someone asked if they could try it. Michael agreed and let the person take it for a test ride. But sadly, the person rode off and never came back, leaving Michael to walk all the way home.
Sgt. Eric Saddler and Sgt. Anthony Coraci from the Roseville Police Department began looking into the case.
“He told us his family was having a hard time, dealing with personal and medical problems. I could hear in his voice how much that scooter meant to him,” Sgt. Saddler said.
The two officers decided to do something kind—they wanted to get Michael a new scooter. A few days later, they went to his house with other officers and surprised him with a brand-new scooter.
“Those are all my heroes,” Michael said.
