I found him outside, trembling and hiding under a car. He was tiny, starving, and completely lost. I reached out, and after a few seconds of hesitation, he curled up against me. On the way home, he nestled into the car’s center console, as if it was the warmest and safest spot in the world.
He didn’t know it yet, but this was the beginning of his new life. Today, he has a name, a home, a soft blanket, and arms that will never let him down again. He no longer hides — he sleeps in peace, safe and loved.
