Big Brother 27’s Amy Bingham Exposes Pre-Live Feed Shocker That Led To Week 1 Nomination

Big Brother season 27 houseguest Amy Bingham revealed the real reason that she was nominated for eviction in week 1, which happened before the live feeds were turned on, way before Showergate. During Big Brother season 27 week 1, Amy became fast friends and Mom Squad alliance members with returning Big Brother 13 winner Rachel Reilly, which contributed to why she became a target.

Amy also revealed her allegiance to Ashley Hollis, who was nominated by Head of Household (HOH) Vince Panaro. Ashley had rubbed the house the wrong way when she took a two-hour shower in the HOH bathroom before Vince had a chance to use it himself.

This scandal became known as Showergate. When Amy heard that Vince wanted to nominate Ashley for eviction, she cried, which led to Vince putting Amy on the chopping block next to her.

Although Amy didn’t go home that week, she was targeted again in week 2 by HOH Jimmy Heagerty, who used her as a replacement nominee. This time, she was evicted by a unanimous vote over Will Williams. Amy had previously earned her place as the 17th Big Brother 27 houseguest after she successfully pulled off being the Mastermind’s Accomplice.

Big Brother 27 houseguest Amy Bingham revealed the real reason that she was nominated for eviction in week 1, which happened before the live feeds were turned on, way before Showergate.

In an interview with Screen Rant, Amy revealed the truth about her week 1 nomination, exposing what happened before the live feeds were turned on. She explained that she wanted to start an all-women alliance in the game, but becoming an early target prevented her from doing that.

Amy said, “I think with certain women in the house, I would have been able to get that going, but I became targeted initially. Like, the first five days with no live feeds didn’t show what was happening in that house. So, I don’t know, I wish I stayed longer and got to play.”

Amy revealed that it initially wasn’t Showergate and her friendship with Ashley, but rather her alliance with Rachel, that caused her to be nominated in week 1. She said, “In the first five days, it was just so many talks of the reason I was considered for the block was because of my connection and friendship with Rachel. It wasn’t about Showergate until after. Like, that came later.”

Amy explained, “But first, for me, it was like I was going on the block because of my friendship with Rachel because she was safe that first week. And so then closest to her would be me.”

Amy added, “And so that’s what I was being told in the house. That’s all I knew. Like, Oh my gosh, you know, it kind of sucks. It’s just what it is.” Because Rachel came into the Big Brother 27 house late, she was a Have-Not, but she was also granted safety for the week, and, therefore, couldn’t be nominated for eviction.

However, Amy also acknowledged that her friendship with Rachel wasn’t why she ultimately was evicted from the Big Brother 27 house in week 2. She said, “That’s definitely not why I left the house. I left the house because of my comment to Vinny about Jimmy being a dummy. But that was my own gameplay.”

Amy added that she wished that she and Rachel could’ve gone further in the game together. She said, “It’s unfortunate…I wouldn’t change anything, so I don’t even know what to say. Like, that was my game and it sucked, kind of. You know, I’m not the best game player.”

Amy went on to say, “I’m bad at comps, too. But in other ways, I would have loved to be in the house and played with Rachel and really done something strong because I feel like we’re both strong women, and we could’ve flipped that house upside down had I been able to stay. I would have loved to do that. Loved.”

What Amy Bingham’s Shocking Admission Means For Big Brother

Big Brother Live Feeds Should Turn On Immediately

Amy’s revelation that it wasn’t Showergate that caused Vince to nominate her is shocking because the show made it appear as though her connection to Ashley was the reason that he put her up for eviction. However, her strong friendship and alliance with Rachel was actually the cause, and that carried into week 2.

This means that there could be so much more crucial information that fans don’t know about because the Big Brother 27 live feeds weren’t turned on right away. This was obviously done so that the show could keep Rachel’s return a secret.

However, it also caused viewers to not have the whole picture of what actually happened in those early days of the game. The Big Brother live feeds should be turned on immediately in the future so that fans can understand all of the action.

Our Take On Amy Bingham Revealing The Truth About Week 1 Nomination

Amy Has No Regrets About Working With Rachel

Although it’s sad that being Rachel’s friend made Amy a target, it’s clear that she has no regrets about aligning with her. Amy even said that, ultimately, it wasn’t her alliance with Rachel that got her evicted but, rather, making an enemy of Jimmy that did. It would’ve been so exciting to see Amy and Rachel run the house, but it wasn’t meant to be.

Amy came into the Big Brother 27 house as an underdog with several tasks to complete for the Mastermind as the Accomplice, all while keeping her identity a secret, and she was able to pull it off and secure her spot as the 17th houseguest. While it was disappointing to see her leave so early, she made her mark on the game while she was there. Amy was inspiring to watch, and she’ll definitely be remembered as a strong Big Brother player.

Big Brother season 27 airs Sundays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
