Pigeons: More Than You Think 🕊️

These beautiful birds are loyal partners, brilliant navigators, and surprisingly intelligent. With tiny magnetic crystals in their beaks, pigeons can sense Earth’s magnetic field to travel thousands of miles. They also hear sounds we can’t, see ultraviolet colors we never will, and recognize themselves in mirrors—something even some primates struggle with.

Pigeons feed their babies with “crop milk,” form lifelong bonds, and use unique calls for danger, love, and territory. One brave pigeon, Cher Ami, even saved 194 soldiers during WWI.

They were once domesticated by us—and we abandoned them. But they stayed near, loyal as ever. Don’t call them pests. Call them what they truly are: brilliant, emotional beings who deserve empathy, food, and water.
