NEW: President Trump is expected to be at the formal opening of “Alligator Alcatraz” this week, Florida’s new illegal immigrant detention center.
The site is located next to an airstrip in Miami-Dade County.
Gov. Ron DeSantis’ seized the airstrip using emergency powers where they are building the facility for illegal immigrants.
The facility was set up in about a week and is expected to have 5000 beds.
