That’s the day we happened to choose to begin our hunger strike.
As I am sitting here not having eaten for 36 hours, I am thinking about, you know, I’m in a comfortable house, not having eaten for 36 hours. What would it be like if I were living in a tent and sitting in the hot sun and not knowing when snipers were going to come for me or my children? I mean, it’s… even just experiencing a little bit, a little taste of what people in Gaza are having to live with, it’s really… it really stretches the mind to be able to imagine. And it makes me feel even more committed to doing everything I can to make our elected officials stop this, because it is in their power to stop the weapons.”
