Terrance Williams: “Remember what happened 5 years ago? In June 2020, the woke mob—and the same Democrats who claim to “fight racism”—erased a legendary Black woman: Aunt Jemima.

Yesterday marked the 5-year anniversary of that shameful moment.”

From his video: “Okay y’all, okay, third warning: if you are offended by a Black woman being on a pancake box, watch another video. If you are offended by a Black woman being on a syrup bottle, watch another video. If you had anything to do with this Black woman being canceled, this Black woman’s legacy being ruined because you thought it was racist for a Black woman to be on a pancake box and a syrup bottle, you are stupid, you are ignorant, okay? Move on. This video is not for you because I don’t want to hear you crying and complaining because you see a Black face on a box of food and a syrup bottle.

But anyways, people, I know it’s a lot going on with Iran, Israel, all this stuff, okay? But I did not want to forget about Aunt Jemima because this is the fifth anniversary of her cancellation. It was actually on, what, June… Hold on y’all, I gotta show y’all this, okay? I keep her in this Ziploc bag with bubble wrap. I’m telling you right now, if anybody, if anybody comes to my house and touches this box, I’ma kick your butt, okay? If anybody comes to my house and opens up this box or touches this syrup bottle, oh, I’ma kick your rear end. It’s going to… I’ma open up a can of whoop-ass on you. I don’t play about that. Don’t ever, don’t ever, ever, ever touch my box of Aunt Jemima and this syrup bottle. Nobody can touch this, at all. Nobody, nobody. You can look at it, okay? But I don’t even want people looking at it, I don’t want it at all.

But anyways, this is the fifth anniversary. It was such a shame that they canceled this Black woman—the same people who scream about Black Lives Matter, the same people who scream about Black people not having opportunities, the same people who scream about Black women not having opportunities. So you took away Aunt Jemima’s face off her own product and ruined her legacy. But at the same time, these people claim that we need DEI and Black representation, but then you canceled this Black woman. You’re stupid and you’re dumb and ignorant and just straight up woke, okay? It was the dumbest thing ever.

And when they canceled Aunt Jemima, I was pissed off because, like millions of people, we all grew up on Aunt Jemima. We loved Aunt Jemima. She, Aunt Jemima, was the greatest! Like, I don’t even… I still don’t get it. Why… And then they took the lady off her butter. Why you take the lady off her butter? They didn’t take the Indian lady’s butter. Give the damn Indian lady her butter back, you know? Then they removed Uncle Ben’s face. But when they did that to Aunt Jemima, I was so pissed off. And that is what sparked me to create my product. This was the first box that I created—Cousin T’s Pancakes. This is the box that I created after they canceled Aunt Jemima. This was my entire company—Cousin T’s—was inspired by Aunt Jemima, okay? And I promised to always say her name, keep her legacy alive. I wish I owned the rights to Aunt Jemima because I would bring her back, you know? But Aunt Jemima walked so Cousin T’s could run, okay? I mean, she inspired me to do this—my love of pancakes—and I promise I will never, ever, ever, ever let anybody take my face off of my box. I will never let that happen. I’ll be damned, okay? I’ll be damned.

Because it’s just straight up—it’s just straight up stupid. And I didn’t see one—Oprah did not defend Aunt Jemima, Michelle Obama did not defend Aunt Jemima, all these successful, wealthy, liberal Black women didn’t even defend her. These White women who claim that they care about Black people and that they care about Black people’s rights and Black people having opportunities, they did not defend Aunt Jemima. Some of those people are actually the ones who had her canceled. Absolutely insane. Insane. It’s insane. It is the dumbest thing ever—cancelling freaking syrup bottles. People went to war for Aunt Jemima! That’s how you know this is the greatest country in the world is because people don’t have anything better else to do but to fight about a damn pancake box and a syrup bottle.

It’s stupid, but I’m honoring Aunt Jemima. I love her. I wish I owned her name. But listen, I’m keeping these forever. But she inspired me to create Cousin T’s. Y’all, I will not be canceled, and I know she would be happy for me. I have expanded—listen, I’m still a small company, I’m still a small company, okay? I’m trying, I’m trying, I’m trying. I hope to become… I hope my brand expands into millions of stores and become a household brand. But I know she would be happy with me. I know she would be proud of me and what I have created—some really great products. Y’all, I have branched into healthy products too. I am switching a lot of my ingredients to non-GMO, but I do have keto, I have protein mix, I have gluten-free pancakes, and my fried chicken mix? Y’all, when I tell you my fried chicken mix is so good, when a Black man tells you fried chicken is good, you better believe him, baby! I don’t mean to be no stereotype, but I’m telling you right now, if I say the fried chicken is good, you better believe me, okay? And my cornbread, oh, makes some skillet cornbread, ain’t nothing like it—cast iron skillet. I got pure maple syrup. I have a lot of products, y’all. They are the bomb—all great. So let’s remember Aunt Jemima, let’s always celebrate her, and I’m celebrating her on my website. Y’all go to CousinTs.com, use the discount code JEMIMA. And I’m doing a big old sale—35% off the entire site. Load up on a bunch of pancakes, load up, okay, load up. My blueberry pancakes and my cinnamon bun pancakes, they are close to being sold out, but after they are sold out, I will not be bringing them back for a while. There are a lot of things that I will not be bringing back for a while because I will be changing a lot of things, okay? So I hope y’all enjoy—the food is really good, okay? Really finger-licking good. Love y’all, and RIP Aunt Jemima. I’ma keep your legacy alive.”
